I am a proud Marylander today!
Last night, after midnight, I emailed and faxed my senator and congressman about my passport situation. First thing this morning I got a call from the senators office saying that they spoke with the passport office and gave them notice that we have to have those passports asap. The kind gentleman told me that he would call them and then me back in a few days with an update. We might have to drive to Washington DC to pick them up but I don't care. he also said to sit tight and don't worry and I might be able to get them expedited without being charged...that would be nice. As of now, I am a much calmer person and have put the xanax away :)I have never been much of a political person but after today I appreciate them so much more. Now if only they would give me the same phone number that they used I could have called them myself.
Hang in there Krista, we are still coming!

Good for you, Susan! Who did you contact (I'm guessing it was either Mikulski or Cardin)? How did you get them (phone number, email)? I may need that contact info too for a health insurance Catch 22 I'm dealing with..... Anyway, more Power to the People!
Hoo-aah,
Carole, Your Lunchtime gal-pal
It was Barbara Mikulski's office that got back to me. Sarbanes is still a no show. I will vote for Mikulski next election.
