Oh My God!!! What was I thinking?

Here I am in all my peroxide glory posing on my boyfriends motorcycle..circa 1984.
Holy quacamole! First off, I can't believe that this picture even exists. My sister Robin mailed it to me after she told me she had found some old photos and some really uncharacteristic ones of yours truly. Consider yourselves priveledged that I didn't just burn it. I may still do that actually. Another photo even shows me cooking in our kitchen in Germany with my dads army helmet on my head...I am looking like a bomb might drop through the roof at any minute. Maybe I will post that one too. I am not sure of the date on that photo..maybe around 1987 since Patrick looks about 4 years old on the same picture. That's him with the long hair. Anyway, just wanted to give everyone a good laugh at my expense. Happy Valentines Day!

The 80's....Wish I looked like I did back then ;)
Oh my god Snoosen! Who was that blonde babe on a motorcycle! Hot Hot Hot!
Ah.... too bad all my "glam shots" from the 80's are stored at dear old dad's house far away from my fingers in New York. The temptation of trying to out do you with that photo, well, that is a shame I would rather not endure.
You win the "Best Blonde from 1984" hands down! No contest.
Me, lets see, in the 1984 I was in college and at the height of my long fascination with all things PUNK. I worked at the local alternative radio station WLIR and was immersed in the whole 80's new wave/punk scene in NYC. I lived in the clubs and barely made it through school. Too many other things to do that were so much more interesting than nursing school. I mean, should I list the 80's A - list celebrities I met back then? Hmmm Nah.
I think I went through all the radical hair styles (some best forgotten) from short hair to a tail that l grew from the top of my head my friends nicknamed "Fred from Krista's Head" and every hair color imaginable, including pink and black - which you have to grow out to get rid of I learned after I dyed the blonde to black - Still had it some of that lingering in my hair circa 1988 when I met Sam. Ah... memories....
