The Whelan's

Tonight we celebrated Alex's 11th birthday by having dinner with his Godfather Pat, his wife Betsy and the kids friend Rowan and my friend Christian. We went to the Original Steak House and Sports Theater in Edgewater and had a fabulous meal of Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, Roasted Chicken and Alex chose Crab Legs. Always a good choice with a casual atmosphere and awesome food. Many large screen TV's for all the sporting action and even a kids channel for the ones that are not too excited over sports.

Alex will actually turn 11 tomorrow evening, the 14th of March, at 5:19pm. Yep, I remember that and no I didn't look it up. You go through labor and you don't forget when it's over trust me. It was a Thursday too, so how do like that for a good memory?

Unfortunately I attend class on Wednesday nights so we celebrated a day early. No complaints from Alex however he did ask if he gets more gifts tomorrow. We'll see now won't we. He received an electric guitar, amplifier and his wonderful godfather gave him the gift of guitar lessons. I already called the place and he starts next week. Mommy gave him money and grandmom gave him money too (Alex's favorite thing) and we are going to the bank in a few days so that he can make a deposit. He NEVER spends his money. He will be a millionaire, no doubt about it. He got a few other things and now if I can strap him down ling enough, he will writing the thank you notes. Attached are a few pictures of the big night.
