Its been a bad couple weeks....

It has surely been a bad couple weeks and each day continues to stress me more. No big secret, to those closest to me ,that I am not a Holiday person. For some reason (the phoniness maybe) or another I have always struggled around this time of year. I would be very happy skipping over Thanksgiving and Christmas and moving right onto January 2nd.
Where to begin: Too make a long story short, my cat that I adore (Tony) was diagnosed with feline leukemia about 2 weeks ago, (which there is no cure); my old girl(16 years) Popper died yesterday morning at 7:50am.; and in the middle of the night last night my brother Patrick called me because his cat was falling over, crying and foaming at the mouth. I spent alot of time at 4am looking for an all night vet. We found one and they kept "Fuzz" to try and figure what happened to him.
That was the cat saga of the stress, the work stress comes in the form of me now working the overnight shift (10:30pm until 7:00am). Not hard work but hard on the body. I finally finished school this semester and not a day too soon, I completely over scheduled myself and my grades took a slight beating (2 A's and 2 B's). Fortunately next semester I only need 3 classes to graduate.
What else is bugging me: I had to go to court again to settle my hand injury case. We agreed on a settlement but United Airlines really dragged me through the mud. Even though I stopped working there in July and started at the Maryland Aviation Administration in August, they wanted me to sign a paper saying that I voluntarily resigned and that I wont try to work for them again in the future. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside when your are treated like you did something wrong, when in fact it was them.
And my poor cousin Randy is still in a coma after falling off a chair on Thanksgiving and hitting his head. He has two little girls and my heart breaks for them. Maybe a Christmas miracle will occur.

So now, aren't you glad you read my blog? Hopefully my next post will be a little more cheerful.

On a better note: Randy is out of his coma. He's not fully awake yet but making improvements everyday.
Please keep him in your prayers.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Nancy
