Harmony Hollow

This is a photo of a "Rememberence Bell" from a company called
Harmony Hollow. The bells are made from copper and bronze and have a lifetime warranty. You can choose which bell you want on the bottom, each has a different and distinct chime or ring. My friend received one after her father died and I loved it. I ordered one and had it sent to my sister-in-law on the anniversary of her son's death. She has a memory garden in her yard and I thought this would make a lasting tribute to him. Anyone who is into bells or chimes would love these items. They have numerous motif's for all occassions, not just memorials. I would highly recommend this website for everyone. Click on the pink link above and see for yourself....and no I do not get a kick back:)
The original

OK folks. You asked for it so here it is. Me and my quilt circa 1994. This is the quilt Krista made for me and Elizabeth. As you can see from the earlier post about Elizabeth's quilt, they are quite similar. Who is that cute, young thing holding up the quilt? Why that's me when I was still a young babe of 29. If I am not mistaken, this photo was taken during my babyshower at Steve and Patty Nichols house in Annapolis. Funny how it seems like it wasn't that long ago....Hmmmm the memories of days long gone.
My new accounting teacher

This is my dear friend Shelley, sitting outside on Easter, pouring over my accounting
test. Yes folks, it was open book so I was not cheating. I did most of it on my own but there were 3 problems that had me stumped. Who better to have as a friend than
an accountant, especially while your in college taking accounting 101. You are the best Shelley and I love you all the more for spending your holiday "working the numbers". Now, I can't wait to see my grade..haha
Happy Easter

Happy Easter 2006!
On this beautiful, sunny and warm day I want to wish all my friends and family a
wonderfully chocolate Easter. I wanted to find a cute picture to add to this post but this one is cute with a meaningful message. The message could also be used for
chicks because inevitably, each year the kids ask me for a bunny or baby chicks.
Have you ever read the instructions on how to care for baby chicks? It is more time
consuming than a newborn human.
Of course, we all know the true meaning of Easter and for that I am thankful.
Have a great day my loved ones and go ahead have that peanut butter egg because on
this glorious day there are no calories, fat or carbohydrates. Cheers!
The quilt is finally finished.

Elizabeth has been diligently working on her quilt for months now and it's finally
complete. When she was a baby, actually before she was even born, my girlfriend Krista made a quilt for Elizabeth. She loved that quilt to death...literally. It is
in pieces and not nearly as lovely as it once was. That is Elizabeth's way of showing
Krista just how much she loved it. Since then she decided to make a new one. My neighbor and friend Marion volunteered to help and here is the finished product. They used the near identical layout of the original quilt and if I do say so myself, it is lovely. I would post the picture of the original quilt, the day I got it BUT I am also in the photo looking like a little kid. I was actually 29 years old so I guess I can consider that a kid now that I am almost 41...yikes.....Maybe I will post it another time but this is Elizabeth's time in the limelight. She is very proud of her accomplishment, so much so, that she took it to school to show it to her friends and teachers. I just took this photo in our yard, its a lovely 75 degrees and sunny and warm...my kind of day....Happy Easter to all.
The Candle Lady

I have gone ahead and lost my mind! I have become a registered demonstrator with the
Gold Canyon Candle Company. I love these candles. I have been buying them from my friend Kim for over a year and she finally talked me into registering so that I could
buy my own (with a discount) and also make a little $$$$ on the side. I had to fork
over some cash to get the demo kit but if I end up hating it, at least I will have
a large supply of candles to get me through the year.....
Ok now my wonderful friends and family, I am not gonna torture anyone BUT if you would like to smell and buy some candles give me a ring.
Springtime means kitten time

Spring has sprung and the onslaught of kittens has begun. After taking a "kittenbreak" since November I have just gotten 3 babies to foster. They are
6 week old medium hair calico's that were rescued from the wild. They were very
timid and shy but now they are becoming accustomed to people and playful. I will probably only have these beauties for the next 2 weeks because they are gorgeous.
Cats R Us is an all volunteer group that spends alot time and money catching feral
cats, spaying/neutering and vaccinating them before returning them to wild. Their baby offspring are taken to the vet, tested for disease, fixed and sent to the kitty
adoption shows held on Saturdays. People looking for a cat or kitten come from all over because they know what wonderful work the organization does. Since i posted about my life as kitten foster before I won't add the contact info. But if anyone is curious just look back at my old posts and you will find a link to check us out.
This photo is off India (female dilute calico) and her brother Thai (orange and white), they also have a brother that looks like Thai , his name is Dutch. Great names huh? Alex named Dutch and I named the other two. Elizabeth could decide on a name this time.
Ok gotta put the kids to bed now...
The Fountain

Since my last photo of the foutain was of very poor quality, I decided to post a better one so that you could see what I was talking about.
This is the same day, same fountain, same Alex minus his sister.
Italian Dinner

The kid's and I enjoyed a lovely Italian dinner the other night at the newly remodeled "Italian Market" in Annapolis. The place is fabulous. It has a market, a bakery, a deli with fresh cheeses and meats, a huge wine selection and, of course, a
lovely, authentic fountain placed in the center of the gazebo for indoor seating.
After a great garden salad for me, pizza for the kids, we enjoyed "made fresh daily"
gelato. All in all it was a great meal.
For my friends and family in this state, there is another identical but larger "Italian Market" in Crofton at the Waugh Chapel Shopping Center.
This phot was taken of Alex and Elizabeth standing by the fountain but it was a little too dark to get the fountain clearer. I need to reread my camera instructions.haha
The Girls

Here is Elizabeth with Julianna and her little sister, Alexis. Her dad Jon and I have been friends and co-workers for 20 plus years. Wow that was scary to say. Anyway, we went to Downtown Annapolis tonite with Jon, his wife Michelle and their
two girls and walked around Main Street, the water and ate at Buddy's Crabs and Ribs. It was a quiet and calm night for Annapolis and we easily found a parking space. That will be changing quickly as the weather continues to warm up. Suppose to be sunny and 73 degree's tomorrow and I love it.
The girls (and Alex) had a good time, they were holding hands and laughing away. I love to watch kids together. They are so innocent and get joy from the simple things
in life. Hopefully we will be spending more time together and Jon invites us out on his boat. Hint, Hint......
Alex the Chef

Recently I let Alex and Elizabeth make a cake all by themselves. Well, almost. I was in the dining room on the computer while they measured and mixed all the ingredients for the chocolate cake. I must admit I was a little nervous about them using the mixer but they were wonderful. They did a great job and the cake was a success. I have found through my 11 plus years as a mother, that the best way to get a child to eat is to let them help you make it. No problems with cakes being eaten here but I have heard my fair share of " EW..What's that? " or "I'm not eating that".
My rugrats are spoiled. They know that I do not like to cook. If I ask them "what do
you want for dinner tonite?" I don't get the normal answer of hamburgers or spaghetti, I get the names of restaurants instead. I could get my feelings hurt but I love eating out too.
A big hug going out to my friend Carole...I will be thinking of you tomorrow.Hugs...
