Learning to Sail in Key Largo.

Alex had his first real sailing lesson while we were in Florida. Here he is with his dad learning the ropes of a little sunfish. Later he learned that it's not quite as easy as it looks on a 22ft. sailboat. Must admit that I dislike the tacking and wenching myself sometimes. I think our motor boat as made me a little lazy. Still love to sail but sometimes its nice to just sit back and go.

What you do when you miss your flight.

After a week in the Florida Keys we were a little late to the Miami Airport. Late enough that we were told that we were not gonna make the flight and the next flight didn't leave for another 9 hours. So what do you do? You go back and get another rental car and spend the day at Miami Beach. Must admit it was first time I ever missed a flight and if I had to do it I am glad it was in Miami in November. The weather at home was about 40-50 degrees colder and we were in no rush get back.

This is what it looks like when you miss your flight and decide to leave the airport. Enjoy.

Coming up next will be the posts on our Key Largo, Islamorada vacation and the race we attended in Homestead.
