The Whelan's

Tonight the kids, along with their dad, are heading out to Wolftrap in Virgina to see the Steve Miller Band. A huge throwback to the 80s and maybe even 70's for all I know. The kids really wanted me to go but I can't do concerts with these migraines anymore. I have not been to a concert since the 80's actually, the last few that i remember are U2 (The Joshua Tree Concert), Def Leopard, Dire Straits, Journey (many times - and 3 nights in a row) and last but not least, the BEE GEES (yep I did and I loved every minute of those harmonizing brothers). Can't say that I can even name a song that the Steven Miller band plays but I am sure I recognize a few if I heard them. Isn't "Fly like an Eagle" their song?

So what do I do tonight all alone??? Don't know yet, maybe rent a movie and have a glass of wine and enjoy my own company. I would love to get my hair done but I don't have an appointment and I need some clothes for my new career, which begins next week, but I don't feel like shopping. Oh well, I will tell you later when I figure it out myself.

Elizabeth spending an "aloha" kind of evening at her Aunt Carols wedding. The next shot is Elizabeth with her cousin Jake. They don't get to see each other very often and I am sure they had a lot of catching up to do, especially since Jake is one of 4 boys in his family. The last was taken afterward at a Pizza joint with her name on the sign. I am sure she thought that was cool. Well they are going to be heading home in the next couple days so now it is time for me and Alex to find something fun to do. We are having good time just spending time together and going out to lunch. Fortunately for me he is happy just staying at home.

Elizabeth and her daddy went off on a mini vacation this morning to Wilmington, North Carolina. Richard's sister Carol lives in Wilmington and is getting married tomorrow on 07/07/07. They decided to drive down for the wedding and then spend a few days on the beach. Wilmington is on the southeastern tip of NC and according to my most recent email , it's a very cool, beachy, Key West kinda town. As a matter of fact I even sent my resume to Wilmington airport and if they offer me a job and enough money we might be considering moving that way ourselves. I personally am ready to say good bye to Maryland. Over priced and there is nothing keeping me here.
